Representatives of the PUA took part in a discussion on current issues in the implementation of dual education, which took place on February 17 in Kharkiv at the initiative of the Kharkiv Information Technology Union.
The discussion included Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mykola Trofimenko, representatives of the IT business (CEOs of EPAM and Sigma Blazer), and universities in Kharkiv. NUAA was represented by Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Kateryna Mykhailova, Head of the Department of Economics and Law Assoc. Prof. Olena Prokopishyna, and Head of the Academic Affairs Department Iryna Fedorchenko.
The meeting demonstrated that the implementation of dual education in modern Ukraine and the Kharkiv region requires dialogue between universities and business, a willingness to integrate traditional forms of education with new ones, and positive motivation not only among students but also among faculty to learn from business in order to improve the quality of the educational process, and for businesses—to become more involved in university educational spaces not merely as “consumers” of future personnel, but as participants in the process of their development.
The main outcome of NUA’s participation in the panel discussion is the synergy of ideas that are already beginning to be implemented…
