September 17, 2022, is the 165th anniversary of the birth of Konstantin Tsyolkovskiy, who was the pioneer of the astronautic theory.
Some of his ancestors came from Volyn, and Tsyolkovsky was very proud of his Ukrainian origin.
Besides artificial Earth satellites, interplanetary stations, and flights to the planets of the Solar System, the brilliant scientists foresaw cities and large human settlements on interplanetary ships. He also predicted the use of industrial complexes and orbital stations with advanced equipment in space.
