Our annual project ‘The Book of the Year” continues this season with a book rather unusual (but whether we have ever had ordinary ones). This is the book by Olena Kostiukevych “Food is Italian Happiness”, published by Kharkiv Publishing House “Folio”.
The author claims that "tastes are a national treasure, and rare tastes are collectable exhibits with a museum inscription on the parchment of history."
The book provides an opportunity to see the relationship between historical processes, cultural development, politics, ethnography and the culinary characteristics of sometimes quite ordinary products.
